Welcome to Funky Velo!

My name is Nick Sage. My interest in cycling started way back in the 1970's with my first brand new Peugeot racing bike. 
Years later, feelings of nostalgia lead me to develop a keen interest in renovating and restoring vintage steel bikes; and more recently French Mobylette mopeds. 
For me, the process of restoration is about bringing a piece of history back to life and preserving it for the future. Seeing one of my projects going to a new owner, where it is again loved and cherished is a great feeling.  
As well as restorations, I am equally enthusiastic about modern cycles, and service and repair of a range of different bikes, including e-bikes.  
I am an accredited professional cycle mechanic, qualified to the industry standard City & Guilds Level 2, and Cytech Technical e-bike qualified. 
I offer a range of services from my workshop in Shrewton, Wiltshire UK, and am always happy to offer help, support and guidance to anyone, so feel free to give me call.
